do Australian light bulbs fit American light fittings/lamps? Chud?
I am wanting to purchase some light fittings from the US and want to know if it is worthwhile. If the bulbs are not the same then I won't bother.
Australia uses 240V while the USA uses 110 - 120V. Many electrical items are dual voltage these days (ie 120/240V) so all you need to do is replace the power plug or use an adaptor. Others are 110V only and so you will need to buy a "step down" transformer. If you want to buy an item that is 110V only please contact us as we can supply step down transforms from the USA with your order that are significantly cheaper than what you can buy here in Australia.
