how do I motivate myself to get my life back on track?
i feel like my life has stumbled out of control.. Loss of job, living with parents who have just entered into divorce stage, a terminal illeness I've just been diagnosed with. My bills are piling up over my head and deal with anxiety on a daily basis. Please offer some ideas. Where do I start? I need to find my life and desire for it again.
First you should find someone to talk to and if no one can or understands than I would recommend getting a fish-they are cheap are calming and are always there to listen. For your job I think you should find any odd jobs you can for now and then try to find something permanent and that makes you happy. My parents just got divorced and it was hard for me but I soon understood that just because my parents stopped loving each other didn't mean they stopped loving me. Start going out more and make sure you spend little time at home or alone with your thoughts where you can sulk and become depressed and hopeless. Never give up hope and always wake up with hope for happiness. I have had panic attacks all my life but I feel it helps to just tell yourself to STOP and calm down. Also you may want to meditate and always remember it is all in your head and that all the things you are afraid of only exist because you give them that power. I am sorry for your discovery of your new found terminal illness. Search all treatment options and again (and I don't know how much I must stress this) but don't ever give up hope. If you can curl your hand into a fist you are still alive. If you get up everyday even if it takes all your strength you are still alive. Don't give up and be brave, take small steps and reward yourself for those small accomplishments. You can't expect to get your life together in one day. It will take a while and it will be harder than anything but just know that if you ever need someone to talk to I am here. I hope I could help.
