we have a cover on the recessed bulb. Any one know how to get that off?
One possible way is to pull down the metal frame that forms the rim of the fixture. It is held with a "v" shaped wire spring. As you pull down, the spring gets compressed and allows you to lower the rim and glass giving you access to the bulb. To re-install, just push the rim up, allowing the spring to go up, and spread to hold the rim and glass tite against the ceiling.
