How Do I Convert My '98 Ford Ranger 3-Bulb Taillight System into a 2-Bulb set-up?
I bought aftermarket taillights for my '98 Ranger and the new taillights only have spots for 2 bulbs. My truck right now had 3: A running/brake light, a blinker, and a reverse light. How do I convert the 3-bulb set-up that I have to work as a 2-bulb system so I can use my new taillights?
You don't. Take the junque sets back where you bought them.
If you really want to change the light sets, buy from some outfit that actually makes sets to fit AND work properly, and are also approved.
There is a reason your vehicle had 2 lamps plus back-up light, and that is better visibility and safety. Don't go back to the 50s standards.
