Crystals and their energy?? (For psychics and wiccans)?

I have a few questiosns. If you dont beleive in such things please do not answer or be disrespectful.

First off, I have what i beleive to be a regular clear prism crystal. I'm not totally sure if its a pretty cut glass, but it said on Ebay it was a crystal, It is seamless, has some heavyness to it and does reflect the light in rainbows. Its perfectly clear too, no hue of any other shade.

What kind of "abilities" does a crystal like this have. I know that rose quartz has healing properties.

Also, is there any other way If I can tell if this is real, or just a pretty cut glass? Thank you

Crystals really have nothing to do with the Wiccan religion except that some Wiccans believe in and use crystals. But the same could be said of some people of any religion or non-religion.

To tell if it's real, feel it. It should be pretty cold. If it feels slightly cool it's probably glass. If it feels around room temp, it's probably plastic or Lucite.

All of them could defract light (make a rainbow)... so that's not the best test.

If it is a crystal and perfectly clear, it's probably just plain rock quartz... but again, that would make it very cold.

Quartz crystals are considered neutral... both projective and receptive... basically "empty vessles" you can fill them with whatever energy you want or need; or you can use them to amplify any energy, or absorb it so you can dispose of it. They are sort of all purpose.

I don't personally use crystals but I've read a couple of books as I had a friend who was very heavily into them.
