Where does the sand in the desert come from?
I know on the beach its from the water breaking town rocks. In the desert it made by erosion as well?
Mostly erosion due to the wind. It picks up small rocks and smashes them into bigger rocks. Eventually you end up with a lot of tiny rocks, sand.
There are other methods of erosion too though, onion skin erosion from the heat of the sun for example, but in the desert, it's mostly due to the wind.
