has anyone ever broken out in a rash from consuming too much caffeine?

I had 2 double size Rock Star energy drinks last night to study for an anatomy exam, and I just noticed when I got out of the shower I have pink small dot-like rashes all around my abdomen. Could this be an allergic reaction to caffeine? I also only had 2 hours of sleep last night.. if that... :-/

It's probably some ingredient in the drinks that you are allergic to, but it is possilbe to get a rash from caffeine itself. My sister gets one if she's had too much coffee. It's not too common, tho, so you may want to check the ingredients of the energy drink. It's possible its from one of the herbal ingredients--I think it even has milk thistle, which a lot of people are allergic to. What you could do is try another source of caffeine--tablets or coffee or Mountain Dew--and see if you get the same reaction. If not, it's something in the Rock Star drinks.
