Heating Furnace Draft inducer fan stops after few minutes?
I have managed to get my furnace started after oiling the draft inducer fan. Previously (see my previous question), my furnace was not working at all and I was hearing a noise. I found out the motor/fan for draft inducer is not working, jamming and creating that noise. I have oiled the fan/motor (the visible rod in the back of the furnace). The furnace now starts and works for few minutes (2-6 minutes) and then stops with the fan motor jamming and making that noise. If I add more oil it again works for few minutes and stops again.
Is there something else wrong with the furnace?
i have tryed to e mail you about your problem but the email wont go thru..i would replace the fan inducer moter. the fan needs to spin over 700 rpms to keep the pressure switch open .this switch monitors the fan moter because the fan is what clears out the gas fumes.and any raw gas that has built up in the chamber prior to lighting
