How can spray paint be removed from a light fixture?
I spray painted several light fixtures with a black metallic spray paint to match my decor. I am going to sell these fixtures, and the original finish was oil rubbed bronze, which may be marketable than black. Is there any way to restore these fixtures to their original finish?
If it's a smaller, smooth surface then scrape it off with a razor blade or similar.
If it's an oil based paint you can use white spirit or turpentine to remove it-
Dab some on a cloth and use a circular motion to thin the paint.
Then use another cloth to wipe the thinned paint off.
Repeat.
