How would I make a light fixture from wine bottles?
I'm trying to make a light fixture such as this one only with less light fixtures:

Besides buying those very expensive light fixtures that look like wine bottles, I would rather collect them from people, but the bottoms, and make them myself.
1. How would I go about cutting the bottoms off so the glass doesn't break, and doesn't cut people?
2. Or, where could I take them to get cut for very cheap.
3. How can I actually hang the bottles from the ceiling with a light bulb in the fixture? What light fixture from a store such as "Lowes" can I purchase that will allow the wine bottle to be the shade (Individually)?
4. What light bulbs will produce the brightest light under these wine bottle, and would it be enough for a kitchen with about 2 or 3 of them?
You can cut the bottoms using a wet saw with a diamond blade, a saw with blade can be purchased for under 100.00 at Home Depot or Lowe's. Wear gloves as some bottles may crack....GO SLOW!
You can sand the edges to reduce the likelihood of cutting someone. use a wet sand paper and wear gloves.
You can drill out a piece of cork pass the wire through the top of the bottle through the bottom put the wire through the cork and the attach the light socket, pull the socket into the bottle and the cork will act as a stop at the top of the bottle.
Use the candle opera style bulbs.
