I recently start drinking a glass of wine every night, and I feel it has caused dropping my blood pressure.?
Dose wine cause dropping blood pressure?

Decades of scientific research has accumulated suggesting that moderate alcohol consumption (defined as 1 drink per day for women and two for men) has a protective effect against the development of heart disease. That said, the American Heart Association cautions individuals not to start drinking if they are not habitual consumers, because of the numerous negative side effects associated with alcohol use and abuse in our society, and to always check with their doctor first.
If you choose to drink, red wine is a very heart-healthy choice, which has been shown to boost HDL or "good" cholesterol. Red wine is chock full of plant chemicals called "polyphenols" (an ingredient that is notably absent from white wine), especially an antioxidant called "resveratrol" found in the skin of grapes. Scientific research shows that polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that slow the production of a protein produced by the cells that line the artery wall. This protein (scientific term: "endothelin-1") contributes to plaque buildup. In fact, the best form of red wine for dampening the production of this artery-clogging protein is cabernet sauvignon. Furthermore, of all the types of spirits on the market, red wine has the greatest anti-inflammatory effect. Polyphenols increase the arterial cells' production of nitric oxide, the substance that relaxes and widens the blood vessels. Stiff vessels are a major cause of high blood pressure and consequently increase risk for heart attacks and stroke. Considering that heart disease is an inflammatory disorder, it pays to consume a variety of "anti-inflammatory" foods.
So if you drink, always choose red over white (red has 8 times the anti-oxidant level of white) to bump up your antioxidant intake and help stop heart attacks and stroke, the leading causes of death in this country!
