Hanging a drywall ceiling . . . Easy or hard?
On a trip to Home Depot, an associate discouraged me (a woman who will have no male help in my home improvements) not to hang my own drywall ceiling. I have a book that says it should be relatively simple but the associate says there is no way I can do it on my own.
Is this true? Has anyone hung a drywall ceiling? Would it be too strenuous for two women to complete on their own? Or it simply to hard for amatuers?
This is definitely a 2 person job.
A simple third helper would be to take 2 pieces of 2x4 and nail them into the shape of a T, the person on the floor can use this to hold the drywall tight to the ceiling, while the other person can screw off the drywall. Much less strain on the arms than trying to hold the drywall up overhead.
