Importing a TVR to Australia.?

I would like to know the process for importing a TVR (preferrably a Tuscan) into Australia. Alternatively is it more cost effective to import an older model TVR, say a Griffith into Aus, or just purchase one here?

I'm not sure whether there is any difference whether a vehicle is one type of model, older or different... it all just comes down to import taxes which Australia has on all used vehicles (and new) which come into Australia.

Australia has one of the highest taxes in the world for importing vehicles... unless its of special sentimental value, I really wouldn't advise it...

Also you have to consider that if its a left hand drive vehicle, you will have to convert it to right hand wheel drive to meet Australian Standards which will be an extra cost.

So cost effectively you are better off purchasing one here unless you know a dealer who could import it for you cheaply and do all the conversions for you..
