(4) Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. (5) Everyone deceives his neighbor, and no one speaks the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity. (6) Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit, they refuse to know me, declares the LORD.
It seems to go right to the core of the problem, for today's people,
speaking lies,,, as today they say the commandments of God are gone, the opposite of truth,
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
verse 5, everyone deceives his neighbor... such as everyone saying Gods 4th commandment is gone. Not so people.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
As verse 13 tells us plainly,,, they are all liars and deceivers because they will not do and teach not to do His commandments. Which is the way it has been always, from the beginning to the end.
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not;
Jer 9:13 And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
