i play breaks, and really bad novelty party tunes from the 80's and 90's, but thats my sense of humour
next decide cd's or vinyl? i have 2 turntables and a cdj, there are a few brands of turntables to choose from, technics have been there from day 1, their turntables are amazing quality but light on features and torque, i like stanton, but thats my preference!
if you plan to scratch you'll need scratch stylii, otheriwse your vinyl will not last too long
there are alot of dj forum sites out there have a browse, there is alot to see
