will my fabric burn if i put it on top?
i have this new tall lamp. where the light bulb goes, it's a upside down cone, so the top is wide and open. and it's really bright. so i want to put a fabric over to lessen the brightness.
the light bulb i use is the swirly ones where it saves energy.
will my fabric burn due to being too hot or getting too hot?
If you had a 100W incandescent bulb in there I would definitely discourage you doing this. With a CFL like you have then should not be enough heat to hurt anything. You can get them in different wattages which might solve your problem without the cloth.
