2001 ford f150 4.6L programmer+chip or just programmer?
we already have a jet performance chip, we are gonna buy a programmer i've heard alot of good from the hypertech power programmer III, but if we left the chip and installed the programmer would it make a difference? or would a jet programmer do better with it? or would it do better without the chip and just add the programmer because the chip doesn't do much still has speed limiter and rev limiter can hardly tell a difference in hp
Unless you need to adjust for a tire size or gear ratio change there is no need for you to buy the hypertech. the rev limiter is there to keep the motor from blowing up. and honestly do you REALLY need to go over 100mph? you really wont feel much of an improvement from either source a 4.6 is not a lot of motor for an f150. If you insist on the hypertech, remove your old chip to prevent it from tweeking the new tune you put in your truck and sell it on e-bay or somethin
