looking for the best sound for a live performance.?
I am a mobile DJ and I have 2 Yamaha Subs 2 Yamaha 2way speakers 2 qsc rmx 2450 amps one behringer crossover 1 DOD 15 ch. EQ. The problem I am getting is that when i bi-amp the system i get a popping when low end gets too low. may be a component i need to have in my rack like a compressor or limiter?
some crossovers have the option of setting highs, lows, and a subwoofer. if you are coming out of just the lows, it may not be getting those sounds that the crossover is wants to send to the sub, which isn't in place. if you set the low end controls to recieve the lowest possible sound, it may help, if this is the problem.
the problem may also be in the speakers or amps. (with the brands you've named, i'd check the speakers first)
also, you may be trying to drive too much sub through the system, clipping it somewhere. since the lowest lows take so much more power to drive, they really aren't so much meant to be heard as much as felt.
aside from these, i'd have to actually look at the system to help much.
