I need to apply 8mm mesh backed glass mosaic tile in a 8" strip as an accent on a painted drywall surface.
I am wondering how to do this without screwing up the surrounding wall, and what can I use to edge the tile, as it will be on it's own as an accent. It's a stripe of tile on the wall with no surrounding tile or other features. Metal edging? Glass bullnose ($$!)? Any help would be appreciated.
You could use what is called a pencil liner, which is a piece of tile 1/2" high by about 6" long, and apply it to the upper and lower edges of your mosiac tiles. Be sure to select one that has a bullnose or a finished edge. It could be an accent color, or the same color as your mosaic tiles. These pencil liners usually aren't very expensive, as tile goes.
