How to replace a GE washing machine agitator coupling 20 spline?
I have an older GE washing machine and need to replace the agitator coupling 20 spline so the agitator will work in the tub. How do you remove the old one and put in the new one? The old part looks to be mounted onto the shaft and the top cap is rusted onto the shaft and will not move with out a lot of muscle. Can someone tell me how to take the old part off and replace with the new. Thanks
Some are held in place with a screw on top, but most are not and if they are too tight, you have to use a puller to get it off.
