The paint is coming off my wall please help!?
Ok so i got done painting my room yesterday and my dad sprayed some stuft on the ceiling today (to cover up mistakes ) and so tonight i started to pull off the tape. the problem is, the tape is taking off a little bit of the paint with it and it's leaving a little tiny white line. then i asked my mom to look at it and she started ripping the tape of and pulled of a nickel sized piece of paint off the wall!! how do i fix this? and any tips on how to take the tape off without taking a little bita paint with it?
i used 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of purple, and 1 coat of blue (i just sponged it on to give it a cool affect)
If you used Painter's Tape (the Blue tape), this should not have happened. Do not ever use Masking Tape, or any other kind of tape.
You should not have left the tape on overnight. DO NOT EVER leave the tape on until the paint dries! Take it off as soon as you're done painting a wall, or a particular section you're working on. Peel it slowly.
Alas, there will always be tiny sections where the paint has missed the mark, between wall and ceiling for example. If you're a stickler like me, *lol*, you get up on a ladder and, with a very thin artist's brush, fill in those tiny gaps.
To repair the damage you have suffered, just paint over those places and use your sponging technique to blend it all in.
