I need help extending range on a ford escape OEM keyless entry remote control.?
I have a 2001 Ford Escape, the transmitter has a range of about 20-30 feet most of the time. I would like to boost it by quite a bit. I would also like to know where the RKE antenna is located in the vehicle, and how to access and identify it. Thanks in advance!
Hold the remote up to your chin when operating it...it turns your body into an antenna for more range...not a whole lot but usually better. A geeky electronics guy might be able to modify the remote for more range or pop for an aftermarket unit that works on RF signals...1000 foot range on mine.
