Well, MAC eyeshadows are so overwhelming because there's such a variety it makes me crazy, haha. I'm not NC20 currently, but my roommate is and I tend to do her makeup every other day.
I definitely recommend that you buy Naked Lunch. It's such a gorgeous champagne color that uou could use it for a highlight, but it's also gorgeous all over the lid. The texture is so nice- it's very smooth and goes on easily with no flaking and not tons of fallout because it's not glittery, per se, but has more of a sheen with some shimmer. It's not too frosty and is just timeless and beautiful.
Cork is another color that I definitely recommend. It's so versatile- you can use it for your inner corner, outer color, an all over lid color, or a crease color with a huge variety of other eyeshadows. It's nearly impossible to go wrong with it, since it's not overly warm! It's very smooth and easily blendable. I love it!
My third choice from what you've provided is definitely Tempting. I don't know why people don't talk about it more! I think it's all in the application. I love the brown/gold look to it. It can so easily be put in the crease and outer corner for a smokey eye, but at the same time, a light wash of this over your lid looks classy and pretty. It doesn't look like you spent an hour on your eyeshadow, and just gives your eyelid a gorgeous pop.
Something you didn't mention was Woodwinked, and I would easily trade out another eyeshadow from those three to put in Woodwinked! The pigmentation on it is so heavenly- just absolutely perfect. I love that it's a Veluxe Pearl- it's so smooth and easy to apply it just goes on beautifully! I wear it with Tempting all the time, and I get so many compliments. You just cannot go wrong with this color. It's so unique- like a bronzed, antique, brown/gold color. It's not too dark, but at the same time you would not use this as a highlight for sure.
Vanilla is lovely as a highlight, but you can use any light eyeshadow as a highlight.
In my opinion, Sable is best worn if you have blue eyes. Otherwise, it can easily look way too red/purple.
