How to clean a silk parasol?
Can someone tell me a way to clean a silk parasol? I recently won this parasol on ebay:

I love it, but it has some sooty dust on the folds (probably from years of storage). I want to use it for shade while taking pictures at my wedding (I'm realy fair and wanted something pretty to prevent a burn!).

My goodness it is GORGEOUS! Open the parasol and clean the surface with a piece of cheesecloth dipped in a cleaner( dawn or even a little bit of tide,etc). After rinsing clean, go over the surface with alcohol. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth and dry further by whirling in the air. :> Congrats on the wedding!
