Help! Incompetent plumber ruined my house!?

I just had my drain and such changed in my bathtub. The plumber came two days ago. I took a bath today, and water went in the overflow. That water is now on my kitchen counter. It came through my light fixture in my kitchen. I've called the plumber - I am concerns about my light fixtures, structural damage, and I have cable ceiling heat that works beautifully - now that is in jeopardy as well. I am furious. I want them to pay for a home inspection and fix every single problem, and a second plumber to come in and check their work. What can I reasonably expect to go through in resolving this?

you definitely have a case. I'll tell you the water shouldn't cause too much structural damage,as long as you fix it quickly, if you have plaster or Sheetrock ceilings that could be damaged by the water most likely it is and will need to be replaced, the heating system should be fine once it dries out, do not use it until it does.the plumber should be made to fix the damage, however depending on where you live it may take time to get him to do so,you may need to take him to court.provided your heating system isn't damaged. and the ceiling is the only thing that needs repair you should be able to get it fixed for less than 1000 dollars.
