what do these numbers mean?
Im trying to buy led lights to mod my xbox 360 controller, like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Aqc6OZkm60&feature=related . Just the ring of light in the middle. Ive found a seller on ebay selling an 80 pc set of LEDs but some of them are not 0603 LEDs, which i believe refers to the size of the led, but im not sure. some of the lights he is selling are called as 5050 leds. this is his ad, http://cgi.ebay.com/0603-Ultra-Bright-8-Color-SMD-LED-PKG-80-pcs_W0QQitemZ200379023674QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2ea785413a . if you could give me some info about what lights i need for this mod id be eternally grateful. The numbers are the size, 0603 is the size of the leds in the controller and power button led on the ring of light.

The bigger leds are the right angle bicolor 1204 smd leds for the quadrant lights, and the smaller led is a 0603 smd led. I put a dime in there to show you how small those leds are, if you sneeze while you're soldering you can easily lose them. You can also lift the pads if you get the points too hot so make sure you use a 15w soldering iron.
