daylight or cool white lights?
we've got a bunch of soft white lights at home (my mom bought them randomly) and i really hate them because they give everything a slight yellowish tint. it's especially horrible in the bathroom because my make-up doesn't look the same as when i go outside =/
anyway, so i've been looking up light colors and it seems i should get either daylight or cool white lights. i got the impression cool white is too harsh and that daylight should be perfect. that they're actually white and accurate, but not too harsh.
am i on the right track?
Are you talking about CFLs? I found "daylight" to be rather harsh, and went to "cool white". The "cool white" seems to be the closest thing to the incandescent bulbs I was replacing.
But this is a personal choice issue. By the way: the last time I was in Home Depot, they had a nice demo display set up with a "daylight", "bright white" and "cool white" bulb, all in a row. Probably the same in all their stores.
