Spot Light White
What is the problem when there's a white annoying spot on the monitor of my laptop?
It's an Acer Aspire One 721. I've been using it for less than a year. The white spot only appears on a white background, and not on black. It's like a hole with a light in it. It is small, but it's annoying and I fear that it may cause bigger problems in the future. Advices please.

Your computer display is a standard LCD type, not LED, so you don't have a dead LED (stands for Light Emitting Diode), which it wouldn't be anyhow, but I won't go into that.
It does sound like you have at least one, if not a couple, of dead pixels on the display. Pixels are usually quite small, though when lit up like that they can appear larger. Pixels are basically the individual dots that light up to create the image on the screen. A dead pixel is one that no longer responds to the electrical impulses of the computer and usually shows up as a bright dot under certain screen colors.
It is pretty rare to have that problem anymore. If the computer is still under warranty, I'd say call or take it in to see if they will repair it (requires a replacement of the screen), but usually they have a minimum number of pixels that need to be dead before they will authorize it. If it really is about the size you say it is, that would mean several pixels are bad and may be enough to warrant the warranty replacement.
Will it get worse? Hard to say, but if you have one, you may get others, but usually in different areas. The only way to truly fix it is to replace the screen itself. Sometimes they have been known to fix themselves and begin working again, but don't count on it.
