do bulbs get very hot for on spotlight bars?
have just fitted triple spotlight bar ,one bulb blew after about a minute, the bulb was really hot, is that normal or have i wired it wrong, the other bulbs are working are still working
It sounds like you're unfortunate enough to have a faulty one, You should be able to take it back to be replaced. In general, mains halogen or incandescent lamps get very hot. If you can imagine that the filament inside is metal and the light is caused by the metal glowing white hot! This is why you should leave them for a while to cool down after turning them off or after they've blown.
