hookup subwoofer in car very simple answer needed?
my car is wired for subs and i borrowed my friends sub just to see if i would want to purchase sub for my self,but im having a little trouble on what wires to where. ground battery and remote all hook up to the amplifier. then there is 2 audio jacks with a black and red strip which i believe hook to the subs is that correct or is there some kind of wire im missing. If you have a site with a diagram the would be much help. please and thank you
I'm guessing the "2 audio jacks" are input plugs; they're meant for RCA cables coming from the head unit. That's how the audio signal gets into the amp.
There should be some additional wire terminals for the subwoofer.
Your best resource is the owner's manual; this would have installation diagrams. If you tell us the brand and model of the amp, we can probably find you an owner's manual.
