Mid-Cycle Spotting + Ovulation + early period, what is going on?
I have been trying to conceive for quite some time now and normally have regular cycles (aside for 1 last October). I have been using the ovulation predictor kits and this month I tracked my ovulation using it. It appears that ovulation would have taken place 2/10-2/12. We had sex before and after this window just in case. i had signs of ovulating.. cm, ovulation pain, bloated, full breasts etc.. then on 2/15 I started spotting light brown on and off for 1 week. I thought it was implantation bleeding b/c i had other early preg symptoms. It then turned to brown stains and today 2/23 I am bleeding dark brown. I have some pms symptoms such as back ache, slight pains by right ovary and full breasts not nearly as bad as I usually have it. I am wondering what is going on. It seems like my period is starting 3 days early, but could this be just an irregular period or do you think i should go to the doc to check if it is a hormonal imbalance? Sorry this is so long- first time posting.
You may want to see a doctor if this continues for more than a couple of days. It doesn't sound like implantation bleeding, but sometimes weird spotting can occur before your period and in early pregnancy. Are you taking any medications (such as progesterone)? If not, I would take a pregnancy test, just to see if maybe you're pregnant and having weird spotting. If it's negative, wait and see if your period develops.
