Can i use a dremel tool to cut wood?
Hello, I'm installing led lighting under my cabinets and I went to install the lights but there are parts under the cabinets that will prevent the led lights from laying flush against the bottom. I would have to cut a 2 inch opening in a few places to make the led lights lay flush against the bottom. I was thinking of using a dremel drill but not sure what kind to attachment to buy for it. What would be an inexpensive way to cut the wood under the cabinet?

You could use a dremel, but it would be awkward and hard to be accurate. Cutting circular holes with a dremel cut-off attachment would be difficult. If you don't need circular openings, you could get away with a cutter attachment for the dremel. If the openings need to be circular, you could purchase a hole-cutter for a portable drill. They come in many different sizes, and I know there's a 2" size. You could also use other tools for boring holes, but the two-inch cutter will be the least expensive. If you use a hole cutter, you can control the depth of the cut. If you don't cut through the material, use a chisel to remove the section of wood that you drilled out. Also, If you only need to cut straight cuts, you could simply use a sharp chisel.
