60 watt heat bulb for snakes and turtles?
I use a plain 60 watt bulb (just any kind you'd use for a regular lamp) in a heat lamp I share between my snake and my turtles, is that too much for either of em? I used to use those black light party bulbs, but I ran out.
Are there any concerns I should have?

the snake is a california king, and the turtles are a common musk, a painted, and either a map or false map
There are several concerns. Depending on the type of turtle and snake, you may have to much or too little heat for them.
You really should find out what the correct temperature and lighting is for each of your critters, then get a thermometer and check the temps, then decide what to do.
Also the turtle may need UVA and UVB light depending on the species. This requires special bulbs. Most snake species generally do not require UV light.
With out knowing more about what species you have I can't tell you much more than that. If you tell me more, I can help more.

84-88 degrees F on the warm end and 70-75 degrees at the cool end.
Painted:
The water should be 70° - 75° F and can be maintained with a submersible aquarium heater. The basking area should be 84° - 88° F during the daylight period. This can be maintained with an incandescent light.
UV lighting can be beneficial.
