I want it to be a small city/town somewhere in the US where the weather is mostly wet and cold but can get very hot during the summer.
Eden NY is in the outskirts of Buffalo NY. It is a semi small town that has a lot of farmland. In the winter it is wet and cold, depending on how much snow is accumulated. It rains in spring. The summers get hot and very humid, especially in August.
Parts of the north east get really hot in summer. It is 75 (in Buffalo) and only still June. July will be mostly 80's, August will be 80's and 90's. It gets real sticky here when the heat rises.
